I. Dodone Online presents a critical digital re-edition of 300 inscriptions from the 2013 corpus of the Dodona oracular tablets by Sotirios Dakaris, Ioulia Vokotopoulou, and Anastasios-Foivos Christidis, Τα χρηστήρια ελάσματα της Δωδώνης των ανασκαφών Δ. Ευαγγελίδη, The Archaeological Society at Athens Library 285-286, 2 vols., Athens 2013.

The epigraphic lemmata prepared as part of I. Dodone Online aim to provide revised editions of the selected texts in digital format, encoded in EpiDoc XML and based on autopsy or examination of photographs. They include updated bibliography and, where available, images of the inscriptions. The generative AI model Ithaca was also applied to the selected texts in order to assess its performance on the particularly complex corpus of the Dodona oracular tablets.

The present edition of 300 inscriptions in I. Dodone Online is the main outcome of the Digital Humanities project “Dodona Travels to Ithaca. Artificial Intelligence Applied to the Edition of Greek Inscriptions” (grant CNS2023-144714), funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union “NextGenerationEU”/PRTR. The project was carried out at the Department of Classical Studies of the University of Valladolid (Spain) from 2024 to 2026, under the direction of Elena Martín González, with the collaboration of Stavroula Konstantopoulou.
