The last two letters of the inscription (l. 3) were inscribed in the left margin, directly below the end of l. 2.

Commentary

The feminine noun ἐκκαρπία is now attested in the dossier of documents concerning the sale of land from Larissa, dated to 219 BC (SEG, 63.406, l.17). According to the first editors (Helly Tziafalias 2013, 151-152 n. 13), it is a hapax meaning “les productions (littéralement les fruits qui viennent de)”.

Ithaca Results: Ithaca predicts Phrygia (64.95%) and Bithynia (19.99%) as the most probable geographical origins of the inscription, whereas Epirus ranks only ninth, with a mere 0.53% probability. As for its chronological attribution, the highest probability falls at the beginning of the third century AD, specifically AD 210–220. See the Ithaca results and associated files.
